| | Model of the car: | Dodge Neon R/t | | | General comments: | DO NOT BUY A DODGE NEON. After 1 year the electrical harness shorted out. The dealer immediately told me no warranty and laughed in my face. I have 45,000 miles on the car (yes i drive alot) however a car that is one year has an electrical short????? Call to chrysler did get the problem fixed for free although i was without a car for a week and had to pay for my rental car. Just today my check engine light has come on and shows codes 3, 4 and 5. 3 and 4 related to oil and 5 related to electrical (oh great!) Of course the first words from plaza dodge "Don't even think we are paying for this... its 75 bucks and hour to check it out and see us friday." NO WAY am I going back to them! The battery died in 6 months becuase of a bad design.. the battery is enclosed in an area that gets too hot and causes it to fail.. no problems with the new battery. If you have a 2001 dodge neon or any neon made 2000 or better, please contact me. If the list grows and grows I suggest a class action lawsuit for gross negligence. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | bad designs engineering, electrical problems |
