| | Model of the car: | Dodge Neon | | | General comments: | i have owned two dodge neons, yes call me crazy. the first was a 1997, and the head gasket blew. well i was talked into buying a BRAND NEW NEON, well i have taken care of the car, regular oil chages, mainentance ect. and at only 70000miles i again had the head gasket go. well i still owe about 9,0000 dollars and now have and additonal 1,000 dollar bill on top of my payments. i will never buy chrysler products again!!! this car has been nothing but a headache. i purchased this car hoping it would get me through college and a few more years until i could afford something in a higher class, but with all the money i have to stick in this i will never be able to save for something nicer. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | not worth squat after you drive it off the lot. head gaskets are worthless. fuses are always burning out. shifts hard. gas mileage seems to be getting worse. the minute the warranty is done, so is your comfort in knowing you have a decent car ( it is amazing how the dodge people can almost perfectly design a car to run fine for the first 36000 miles). | | | Previous car: | had a 97 neon that sucked as well. |
