Dodge Neon

 Model of the car:Dodge Neon
General comments:Comfortable, good trip and commuter car, economical, roomy, good seats, feels a lot bigger than it is. Friend of mine who drives Buick and Taurus fell asleep in it, and said he couldn't help it because the Neon was such a smooth car!
What things have gone wrong with the car:Poor visibility to rear, bustle rear end hard to see over. Miserly touches. I bought the base model, but no inside mirror control on passenger side and no inside release for trunk. C'mon Chrysler. How cheap can you get. Big annoyance, though, is the 3 speed automatic. I had to get automatic because my wife will not drive manual transmission, otherwise I would have gotten manual. Most of the reviews I have read have would rate Neon much higher if it had a four speed automatic option.
Previous car:1996 Neon Expresso with 150 DOHC engine. It was awesomely powerful and sporty, but noisy, especially wind noise and didn't ride as well as 2000 model. I tested Ford Focus, but thought Neon was more comfortable, and handled better. One sit-down in a Chevrol
