| | Model of the car: | Chrysler Neon | | | General comments: | Fortunately for me, I did not purchase this car, I am leasing it. Which means, that I can give it back and don't have to worry about the resale value of it. This vehicle has been more trouble then it is worth.
I now have 70,000 Kms on the vehicle and my lease is up in two months. I had to replace the Serpentine Belt at 30,000 Kms which was not covered under warrantly. I have had the brakes done at 30,000 Kms (apparently not covered under warranty) and now they tell me I have to get them done again (which I have not done). Both times, at a cost of $177.00.
There have been several recall notices and most recently, I had to have the cam sensor replaced, the rear main seal and my vehicle speed sensor had to be replaced as well. All of this was covered under warranty, but I also had to have 2 transmission cooler lines replaced, this was not covered under warranty.
My passenger side window has worked maybe two years out of the four that I have had the car. I have had this fixed several times, but it continues to break. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Squeaky brakes
