Dodge Neon
| | Model of the car: | Dodge Neon | | | General comments: | I bought my 97 neon with 36,000 miles in 1999 from someone that I knew who was at the and of her lease. I felt comfortable purchasing the car from her because I knew that she had taken good care of it. Less than 1 year later, I had to replace the transmission at a cost of $1,600. A year and a half after that, the valve seals were leaking so bad that I was putting a quart of oil in everyday. I had the car repaired through Chrysler. Today, my oil light is back on again and the tail pipe is spewing blue smoke when I eccelerate. This means that the valve seals are leaking AGAIN. There is also some sort of strange popping in the front end when I turn corners and the exterior lights keep burning out.
Bottom line is ...THIS IS A CRAP CAR! | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Pretty much everything else. |
