| | Model of the car: | Neon | | | General comments: | The head gaskets on Neons from 1995 to 1999 are defective. I just had mine replaced. You will notice oil under your car. It will be coming from the drivers side rear of the engine. Chrysler is aware of this defect, but will not help pay for it. They redesigned the head gasket in 1998, but they made 1999's late that year. Beware!!!! I have been on the phone with Chrysler more than I care to mention, and they now say their Corporate decision is to not help me with this problem. If you have one of these cars with this defect, please call Chrysler. Maybe they will declare a "recall" on this car if enough of us call. If you need further evidence, type "neon head gasket" in a search engine, and prepare to be amazed.
