| | Model of the car: | Dodge Neon | | | General comments: | Sporty little car (it is my wife's), but has some consistantly bad things going for it.1. The head gasket problem that we have had to fix twice now. (fixed in 1999 and newer models). Chysler has never admitted wrongdoing, but they know it is a design defect.2. The brakes have been squeaking since purchase. (How do you know when they are going bad?)3. The stereo has shorted out.Do not purchase a used 1995-1998 Neon. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Bad brakes, head gasket design flaw, and most importantly, Chrysler will not admit, pay for, or even discuss in most cases the flaws of their manufacturing. It is a lemon. It is not worth anything for trade in. Stay away! | | | Previous car: | I have a 1997 Honda Civic, and it is 100 times as reliable. |
