| | Model of the car: | Dohc Sports Coupe | | | General comments: | This is in addition to my previous review:I have since been in a accedent with a light pole due to someone cutting me off in very icy weather. This caused me to hit the brakes hard and MN DOT had left the roads very cy but i hit a dry patch on the left side causeing my car to spin out during heavy braking and i spun around and hit the pole at 10 mph in the lefty rear corner. No damage! I was amazed. Ive found quite a few better things about this car now also. The aluminum rims havent flaked liek some ive seen. The ride is rough BUT if you get good tires and better shocks its perfect. The expandibility of this car is amazing. I can order millions of after market parts from projection lamps to turbo systems to lowering springs. Its really popular in the "import" arena. Rebuilds are not fun BUT they are easy in a neon. I only had to rebuild because staying at the generous 7350 redline for to long is BAD! Thats ook i learned a lot from it anyway. I dont street race but i have added a few new items. Im building my own custom aluminum air intake, i have lowered springs and did run a venom Nitrous system for a few days (testing for another car project). IT still flies. Now it is slower than most cars when it has the 3 speed auto so do yourself a favor and get the 5 speed. I also have put in a kevlar Mopar clutch disc in and it hasnt burnt out in 20000 miles. Accully there has been very little clutch fade at all. A few problems i have worked out in the neons:-Window leaks? Take the latch set on the car side (metal loop that the latch clasps around) and loosen it. Move it up 1 | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Poor ride if left stock. 3 speed auto sucks! Oxygen sensors go offline when it rains (fixed with exaust "tape") | | | Previous car: | Honda Civic, Acura Integra |
