Plymouth Neon Hi-line
| | Model of the car: | Plymouth Neon Hi-line | | | General comments: | This car was fine for almost the first year, then it started stalling unexpectedly even at freeway speed. The stalling problem was computer related and happened approximately every 6 months while I owned the car. Then the engine mounts broke. Then they broke again. Then the wheel hub disintigrated. I replaced them three times. Then the air conditioner went out. Then it went out again. Then it began overheating for no apparent reason. The trunk and doors leaked. I would no sooner have the dealer fix something than it would happen again. Once that problem was solved within a few weeks the car would need repairs again for another mysterious problem. I doubt I'll ever buy another Dodge after this experience. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Money pit. Totally unreliable. Requires frequent and extensive repairs. | | | Previous car: | 1970 Ford Pinto (better) 1988 Nissan Sentra (vastly superior) 1960 Rambler (better) 1987 Hyundai Excel (vastly superior) 1978 Toyota (better) 1975 Dodge Econoline (better) |
