The 1995 Dodge Neon just plain sucks and so does the 1996 -1998 modles. There are too many documented problems with then and I do not suggest anybody buy one. Now I am sure there are people out there who own a hassle free one....Lucky them but the overwhelming evidence of these problems far out weighs the good ones. Do the rtesearch...You will see.
What things have gone wrong with the car:
Well lets see? My AC seized up cost:$700, Head gasket blew cost $800, Transmission going on it now estimated cost: $1200. The fuel fill pipe between the fill door and the tank rotted off cost:$89(fixed myself) replaced battery 3 times, brakes make grinding noise (had checked 3 times) Brakes failed 2 times cost:$300 and thats not listing the minor hardware defects.
