| | Model of the car: | Neon | | | General comments: | I was nervous about buying a Neon, but it's a cheap car that is good looking and so I took the risk. Big mistake. In the two years I have owned the car, I have replaced the belts, head gasket, transmission, brakes, tires and battery. I just learned from a reliable mechanic that I need to fix three of four struts, the steering mount, the timing belt, and the belts again. Currently not working are the air conditioning, the gas guage, the temperature guage--all of this and I have yet to reach 96,000 miles. I have not had problems with exterior paint peeling, which is the one main problem I have seemed to avoid. Spend your money elsewhere.
