Dodge Neon
| | Model of the car: | Dodge Neon | | | General comments: | I bought my Neon new in 1995, and it currently has 190,000 miles on it. I have kept up with the recommended service, and even done some preventative maintenance on it when suggested by my mechanic. I've never had a problem with it, and I plan to run it as long as it will go! A good car for students (and anyone who needs cheap, reliable transportation), but YOU MUST FOLLOW THE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE!! Due to my long commute to work, I change the oil every 3-4 weeks, and I've never had any problems with the engine. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | That pesky "check engine" light, which turns out to be nothing mechanically wrong, but likes to stay on, anyway. The dealership I bought it from has turned out to be awful (when I returned in the early days for routine services). A few quirky noises here and there (an interesting high-pitched whistle comes and goes when the air conditioning is on for more than a few minutes, for example), but that's just its personality! Squeaky brakes, but as long as they stop the car who cares? | | | Previous car: | None |
