Dodge Neon
| | Model of the car: | Dodge Neon | | | General comments: | Love the car, still going strong. If you do the maintenance you'll love one to. I know a guy with 174,000 miles, just doing the cyl head now (longer than his Saturn lasted). This car is a daily driver that has never let me down, although GOOD QUALITY SNOW TIRES are a must for any winter driving. Besides, snow tires mean you can get more LAPS out of your summer tires. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Heat shields on the tie rod end boots are not big enough to protect them from the heat of the brakes if pushed hard (I mean REALLY HARD!), minor niggles with popping noise in front end (warranty repair) and sane people have to put up with rear brake squeal, but the rest of us never hear it. | | | Previous car: | 1992 Metro--duh. 1987 Camaro - Neon would suck the headlights right out of it, and get twice the fuel economy while seating 4 people (not munchkins) quite comfortably.1998 Stratus - nicer car, not as fun. |
