| | Model of the car: | Dodge Neon | | | General comments: | I would never recommend anyone to buy this horrible money pit of a car. I would have never dreamed that such a car could cause so much trouble. I mean people did warn me about the head gasket going and simple little problems, but the problems I have had have come to equal the amount that I've paid for the car. It truly isn't the ideal student car, it wasn't designed properly at all! Its been one problem after another that has to be dealt with by mechanics because everything was so poorly engineered. Not to mention it isn't a very comfortable ride even if it is a compact family car!!! | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Replaced:
transmission, headgasket, aluminum head, block re-milled, windshield wiper motor, EGR valve, downstream O2 sensor, Fan relay switch, Fan blower, wheel bearings,
timing belt,alternator belt, alternator, battery sensor, horrible gas mileage, prices of parts are highly overpriced and they're horrible quality | | | Previous car: | 1998 Ford Escort ZX2- This car was a dream compared to the neon. |
